What do Lily Allen, Sophie Dahl, Sarah Ferguson and Geri Haliwell have in common? They’ve all used hypnotist Susan Hepburn to help them lose weight. It might cost them £400 an hour to see her but they’ve all benefited from Susan’s techniques
It certainly seems to work, Lilly dropped two dress sizes very quickly and on Susan Hepburn’s site there’s a story of a client who lost four stones in six months. The only thing I couldn’t find on the site were any prices!

World famous hypnotist Paul McKenna has sold 1.2m copies of his I Can Make You Thin book and now he’s turning it into a live stage show. He’s spoken to sport.co.uk about it, saying
She started off from very humble beginnings and worked her way up to become known as the Nation’s Sweetheart, now she’s tipped for worldwide success. Against the odds Cheryl Cole has gone from mildly talented reality TV star to icon. What can we learn from what she says?
Ok bear with us on this one. Kids have the best imagination of anyone, they’re more crearive and without the grind of experience have fewer barriers and less limiting beliefs.
Now Justin Bieber; he’s the biggest phenomenon going, young girls just can’t get enough of him. Everything he does is big news for them and just his name is causing massive online traffic and huge sales.
Twenty five years at the top, constantly innovating, constantly creative, often controversial Madonna’s rise and continued dominance is well documented. What can be learned about that staying power from what she says?
“A lot of people are afraid to say what they want. That’s why they don’t get what they want.”
Does this one take much explaining? Who are you not to say what you want? But like Madonna says if you don’t tell people what you want it’s highly unlikely you’ll be mystically gifted with it. We’re all allowed needs, dreams, hopes and ambitions and when they’re out in the open they’re much more likely to happen. When you verbalise what you’re after it becomes more real. Not only will you be talking to people who can help you get what you want but you’ll also be personally more compelled to make it happen too because you don’t want to let yourself down in public.
She’s been one of the world’s most famous people for the past 15 years and one of the most famous ‘dumped’ women for the last 6. But there haven’t been mass stories about her having a breakdown or lashing out. What can we learn from what she says about how Jennifer Aniston has become one of the most successful but centred people around?
Guy Kawasaki is seen by many as the social networking king and before that he did quite well at Apple and is now officially a venture capitalist. It’s safe to say he’s at the top of his tree. What can be learned from what he says?
“Simple and to the point is always the best way to get your point across”
Communication is such a complicated beast. There’s verbal, written, body language and the biggest stumbling block in that the message you give out isn’t always the message that’s received. Once people have filtered your communication through their own filters, experiences and assumptions it can be well and truly mangled. Which is way saying the least possible, in the most direct way possible is the surest way of making sure you’re understood.
As a woman I’m in a constant battle with my body. This bit sticks out here and that bit stick out there, why can’t these be bigger than this be smaller…it’s never ending. I read up on new diets and low fat cooking methods and I’ve tried diets after diets which include eating only red things or only raw food or having green days but mixing in bits of this and that and drinking concoctions that you wouldn’t wish on your worst enemy.
