30% of us suffer from insomnia or sleep deprivation at some point in our lives. If it’s left untreated it will cause us to be fatigued, make us tired, irritable and stressed and can lead to problems at work and eventually more serious health problems.

The causes of insomnia are as varied as the symptoms. Commonly lack of sleep can be caused by stress and worry but it also affects sufferers of more serious mental health problems. Less well known is that it can also be caused by medical conditions which should be checked out.

Insomnia expert Claire Hegarty is recommending that sufferers consider hypnotherapy which will aim to relax them at the right time of day and hopefully lead to a better night’s sleep.
