Deep breathing and soothing music is much better at relaxing you than a massage. The Group Health Centre for Health Studies from Seattle found that people who undertook deep breathing exercises were less stressed than a group that got massages to ease their tension.

Breathing is free and can be done anywhere and massage is expensive and is more limited in where it can be done. Once again nature comes up with a pretty basic but effective answer.

You’ll be hard pushed to find an expert anywhere who won’t tell you that deep breathing is great for health, relaxation and general well being.
