Learn to think like… Madonna

Twenty five years at the top, constantly innovating, constantly creative, often controversial Madonna’s rise and continued dominance is well documented. What can be learned about that staying power from what she says?

“A lot of people are afraid to say what they want. That’s why they don’t get what they want.”
Does this one take much explaining? Who are you not to say what you want? But like Madonna says if you don’t tell people what you want it’s highly unlikely you’ll be mystically gifted with it. We’re all allowed needs, dreams, hopes and ambitions and when they’re out in the open they’re much more likely to happen. When you verbalise what you’re after it becomes more real. Not only will you be talking to people who can help you get what you want but you’ll also be personally more compelled to make it happen too because you don’t want to let yourself down in public.

Newly divorced wife loses out on share of £2m Lotto win!

Bus driver Kevin Halstead from Preston is celebrating after winning £2.3m on the UK Lottery. It’s great news for him and his new partner, not so good news for his ex-wife Helen as the pair got divorced just 4 months ago.

If they hadn’t split she would have had a claim on a slice of the money! She’s handling it well though, Helen says she’s delighted for her ex husband and that it couldn’t have happened to a nicer couple.

Just proves that sometimes you have to be in the right place at the right time! Full story from the Daily Mail is HERE

Learn to think like… Jennifer Aniston

She’s been one of the world’s most famous people for the past 15 years and one of the most famous ‘dumped’ women for the last 6. But there haven’t been mass stories about her having a breakdown or lashing out. What can we learn from what she says about how Jennifer Aniston has become one of the most successful but centred people around?

Learn to think like a winner – Guy Kawasaki says…

Guy Kawasaki is seen by many as the social networking king and before that he did quite well at Apple and is now officially a venture capitalist. It’s safe to say he’s at the top of his tree. What can be learned from what he says?

“Simple and to the point is always the best way to get your point across”
Communication is such a complicated beast. There’s verbal, written, body language and the biggest stumbling block in that the message you give out isn’t always the message that’s received. Once people have filtered your communication through their own filters, experiences and assumptions it can be well and truly mangled. Which is way saying the least possible, in the most direct way possible is the surest way of making sure you’re understood.

See your life without limits

Right now just ask yourself “what would I do today if I knew I couldn’t fail”. Think about it for a while, imagine that success.

Now what’s stopping you?
