An open air workout is better for you than the gym. It’s kind of obvious that exercising in fresh air would be more beneficial than being stuck indoors but did you know it’s also better for you mentally?
Doctors are now being urged to prescribe outdoors exercise for people with mental illnesses after a study showed people who workout in the open have better self esteem and better moods than those who do it in the gym.

Well now the craze has hit the UK with British Military Fitness, it’s a group of ex army types running gym classes across the country.

There’s so much confusion these days about what to eat and what not to eat and how much exercise is enough.
Some reports have said 20 minutes worth of work out is as good for you as an hour’s worth. But most respected thinking points at doing around two and a half hours worth of activity a day. Certainly if you’re looking to lose weight you’re not going to do it with just a few minutes of walking each day.

In New York the latest craze is to have an army style drill instructor yell at your while you’re doing your workout.
It seems a bit harsh but 70 per cent of the clients are women and it does seem to get results. The yelling is said to be motivational rather than degrading with one woman saying it seemed to be talking to a deeper part of her.
